Reflect and Renew

A Season of Reflection

As we embark on this Lenten journey, we invite you to take a moment to consider what you truly need. Whether it’s a moment of peace, a helping hand, or the courage to reach out, remember that these needs are shared by those around you. Together, we can create a community where everyone is supported and cared for.

Our shared journey through Lent is an opportunity to connect deeply with one another and with God. By acknowledging our own needs and the needs of our neighbors, we foster a spirit of compassion and unity. Let us walk this path together, embracing the call to serve and uplift each other in love and faith.

Weekly Lenten Themes

Join us each Sunday during Lent as we explore meaningful themes that resonate with our spiritual journey. Each week, we delve into a new aspect of our faith, inviting reflection and action within our community. These themes guide us in understanding our shared needs and how we can support one another through love and service.

First Sunday of Lent

Embracing Vulnerability

On the first Sunday of Lent, we introduce our new ministry dedicated to providing pre-made, frozen meals. This initiative aims to support individuals and families facing unexpected challenges, offering nourishment and comfort when it’s needed most. Our community comes together to prepare and distribute these meals, embodying the spirit of compassion and care.

Second Sunday of Lent

Honoring the Need for Rest

Baby Pantry Donation Drive

This Sunday, we focus on our baby pantry donation drive, collecting essential items such as diapers, baby wash, clothing, and specially needed diaper bags. By contributing to this cause, we help ensure that families in our community have the resources they need to care for their little ones, fostering a nurturing environment for growth and rest.

Get Involved

We invite you to participate in these initiatives, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word. Together, we can make a significant impact, reflecting God’s light through acts of love and service.

Third Sunday: Seeking an Advocate

This Lenten season, we invite you to participate in our card ministry, a heartfelt initiative designed to remind us all that no one should walk through life alone. Join us in writing and sending messages of love and support to those who may need a reminder of their worth and the community that surrounds them. Each card is a beacon of hope, a tangible expression of care, and a testament to the power of simple gestures in lifting spirits and fostering connections.

Fourth Sunday: Embracing Change

On this Sunday, we call upon our community to contribute to a ‘noisy offering’ for Sylvia’s Place, an organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence. Your small change can make a big difference, demonstrating how collective efforts can ignite significant transformations. By pooling our resources, we not only support a crucial cause but also embody the spirit of change and solidarity that defines our journey through Lent.

Fifth Sunday: Celebrating Beauty

As we approach the culmination of our Lenten journey, we invite you to donate everyday personal care items to our local pantry, ensuring that everyone in our community can experience the dignity of self-care. This Sunday also marks a special celebration of our children’s first ‘official’ communion on Maundy Thursday, a moment of beauty and renewal that reflects the grace and growth we witness in our shared faith journey. Join us in honoring these milestones with generosity and joy.

Find All You Need This Holy Week

This Holy Week, we journey together through the sacred story of God’s love—a love that meets us in our deepest needs and transforms us with grace.

From the triumphant entry of Palm Sunday to the quiet reflection of Maundy Thursday, the solemn sacrifice of Good Friday, and the glorious hope of Easter, we discover anew that in Christ, we have all we need.

Whether you are walking closely with God or seeking answers in a time of uncertainty, you are welcome here. Through worship, prayer, and community, we encounter the One who satisfies our souls and leads us into life everlasting.

Join us as we remember, reflect, and rejoice—because in Jesus, we find mercy for our brokenness, strength for our weariness, and hope for our future.

All we need is found in Him.

Palm Sunday: April 13, 2025

This Palm Sunday, we begin our journey through Holy Week by remembering Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem.

It was a moment of great excitement and hope, as people recognized him as the Messiah. We’ll reflect on the significance of this event, the cheers of the crowd, and the path that lay ahead for Jesus. Join us as we start this important week together, celebrating Jesus’ kingship and preparing our hearts for what’s to come.

Maundy Thursday: April 17, 2025

Join us this Thursday evening as we step back in time to Jesus’ last meal with his closest friends. This special service, often called Maundy Thursday, is all about remembering that night. We’ll reflect on how Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples, giving them (and us!) a new way to remember his sacrifice – what we now know as Holy Communion. We’ll also think about his incredibly humble act of washing their feet, showing us what it truly means to serve one another with love. It’s a really meaningful and intimate service that helps us connect deeply with the final hours before Jesus’ crucifixion.

This service will also be First Communion for some of our young ones!

Good Friday: April 18, 2025

12:00 p.m. (Noon)

This Good Friday, at 12:00 PM, we invite you to a unique service focusing on the “Seven Last Words” of Jesus. These final phrases spoken from the cross offer powerful glimpses into his heart and his mission. We are blessed to have several pastors from our local South Haven area sharing their reflections on each of these significant statements. This hour-long service will be a wonderful chance to pause, reflect on the meaning of Good Friday, and connect with fellow believers from our wider community.

Friday is a more somber day as we remember Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified. Our service will be a time for quiet reflection and remembrance of his immense sacrifice for us. We’ll think about the weight of that day, the pain and suffering Jesus endured, and the incredible love that motivated him to give his life. It’s a powerful opportunity to reflect on the cost of our freedom and the depth of God’s love for humanity. This service will likely have a more serious and contemplative tone as we honor this pivotal moment in our faith.
